Of diamonds and other jewels treasured...

In your familiarity, I learnt to know myself.
We grew up in kisses, smiles, sobs and fights.
In every moment, I took a part of you... Gave a bit of me...
Our souls trotted on the macadam pavements, clinging to each other.
We touched rainbows passing by...
We blowed off clouds floating by...
The song of the nightingale lulled us to sleep...
Sleepless nights made us weep...
You taught me how to love
I loved you back with all I had.
We recited Macbeth as we walked hand in hand.
We emptied glasses of wine, but were intoxicated with ourselves...
You grazed your thumb against my lips
And I pulled your shirt.
Rain blessed us and we found each other.
The sun it was, or the fates, or the wind or the gods...
Envy it was.
Tried to tear us apart... but what failure!
Cause I still treasure your fragments and smile at you in the morning dew.
Can still smell your breath in my hair.
You still find me when it rains.
We still look at each other... through the drops of diamonds in our eyes.
